NRC Biotechnology Research Institute (NRC-BRI)
Established in 1984 and counting a personnel of more than 600, NRC-BRI is the largest research facility devoted to biotechnology in Canada. Through its Health and Environment sectors, in collaboration with its Bioprocess Centre, the Institute promotes, assists and conducts leading-edge R&D collaborations, services and technology transfers with the biotechnology industry. Every year the institute signs well over 100 agreements with Canadian and international partners.

NRC Institute for Biological Sciences (NRC-IBS)
Through the integration of its R&D expertise in neurobiology, glycobiology and immunobiology, NRC-IBS is bringing forward innovations that can contribute to reduce the impact of both age-related and infectious diseases. NRC-IBS carries out its research with partners from industry, universities, hospitals and other R&D organizations in Canada and internationally. NRC-IBS helps create real economic value for Canada by licensing its technologies to ensure their commercial exploitation and by making available the knowledge and expertise of its staff in partnered projects.

McGill University and the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI MUHC)
The Montreal Excellerator is a nonprofit partnership between the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and McGill University dedicated to expediting the translation of high impact medical solutions into clinical diagnostics and experimental therapies. The mission of the Montreal Excellerator is to advance the market-readiness of groundbreaking discoveries emerging from McGill University and the RI-MUHC and to enhance the commercial value of the underlying intellectual property. This initiative is a vehicle for creating high return on research dollars while generating social and economic benefits.

Université de Montréal / Gestion Univalor, Limited Partnership
With 2 affiliated schools, a network of affiliated hospitals and close to $400 million research budget, Université de Montréal is Canada's 2nd most active university in research. Over 1200 researchers are dedicated to the advancement of biomedical and health sciences. Since 2001, Univalor's mission is to transfer to the industry the most promising research outcome from Université de Montreal. Over 300 technologies are available for licensing.

The Massachussetts Technology Transfer Center
The Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center has a government mandate to help any inventor in any non-profit research institution to commercialize his or her technology. Foundation Biotech Montréal
